Gdynia is a unique city in Poland, Europe, and the world. In 2026, it will celebrate the 100th anniversary of receiving city rights. The proposed investment is located in a place that boasts both material heritage in the form of the main axis of the urban layout of the Historic Centre of Gdynia, extending into the South Pier, as well as intangible heritage in the form of sailing culture in this part of the city. Nova Marina Gdynia is designed to be situated directly next to the Gen. Mariusz Zaruski Sailing Basin. Our primary goal was to create the best possible space for yachting clubs and the operations of the Polish Yachting Association. The layout of the hangars and club spaces, along with the requirements of the Local Development Plan to provide manoeuvring space from the Beniowski Quay, shaped the southern part of the complex.
This layout was intersected by two viewing axes, creating public spaces in the form of arcades, designed to visually and functionally connect the axis of the South Pier with the Sailing Basin. The entire process was developed in close cooperation with the Municipal Conservator of Monuments, the Sailing Clubs, the Polish Yachting Association and Ghelamco Poland”.
